Air Rover works directly with all branches of the United States Armed Forces to research, design, engineer, develop, and manufacturer world-class Field Deployable Environmental Control Units (FDECU) for sensitive electronics and tent cooling during peace-keeping and combat missions. In response to troop feedback and technological advances, Air Rover's engineering team designed the UL Series ECU modular environmental control units to produce cold, refrigerated air in extreme climatic conditions that range from 50 degrees to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Features
The UL Series foundation is comprised of a steel skid that features integrated fork pockets and unique corner option receivers. The quick receivers accept optional wheel kits, lifting rings, and leveling stands that slide and pin into position in seconds. The skid also contains stainless steel handles for hand-deployable capability. All UL Series military ECU systems employ a .063" aluminum exterior cabinet that effectively reduces overall weight by 23%. Integrated duct takeoff panels enable "hand's off" deployment in standard ducted applications.
ULCR models utilize a special refrigeration system that allows automatic bypass operation and a constant run compressor to ensure no electrical spikes or surges when powered by a portable generator. Critical electronics systems and communication gear operate smoothly without power surges from compressor cycling.
The ECU is equipped with durable, high-efficiency micro-channel aluminum coils that allow the unit to stay online even when the ambient temperature peaks to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Air Rover micro-channel coils provide higher cooling efficiency than standard 8-fins-per-inch coils, and an effective filtering sytem virtually eliminates dust contamination. Earth friendly, zero ozone depletion R-134a refrigerant cycles through a high-efficiency scroll compressor offering reliable and dependable cooling in high ambient conditions.
Summary
The UL Series ECU is Air Rover's answer to replace obsolete FDECU, B0002, B0003, and B0011 ECU systems.
