Other portable spot coolers operate much differently than Air Rover portable air conditioners. Most spot coolers create a negative pressure in a room by using the room air to cool the condenser. Once the condenser air is heated, it is ducted out of the room, thus causing the unit to draw air that it has cooled out of the room. All Air Rover portable air conditioners feature BOTH a condenser intake duct AND a condenser exhaust duct that are both ducted outside of the room being cooled.
